London and back

Tuesday, June 20th, 2006

Well we popped up to London for a quick drink this evening, as you do. We met a fair few people from the PDC but none from our group which was a shame. Quite an eventful trip up, Golly started by trying to navigate and clearly setting us on a longer route… I decided that we would avoid any possible traffic from the summer solstice thingy by using byways over sailsbury plain so we did!! Great fun except that the old county started making lots of noises. We then shouted at some signals landrovers when we spotted them hiding in a bush “tag you’re it” and then promptly a police helicoptor appeared and hovered along behind us until we got near the main road. Think they won that game!!

We eventually got nearer london and Golly annouced he didnt have a phone number for any one we were meeting and we were late and had no map. By a stroke of pure luck we ended up in Clapham outside the right pub! We ambled round for a bit but couldnt find anyone. I asked lots of people if they were going to Banjul and they all looked at me like I was mental which was nice. We did eventually find them though. Then off home at the heady speed of 60mph with a diesel leak, a stereo that was pants and a driver hyped up on red bull.

A good days work!

The Web Site

Thursday, June 8th, 2006

Well as you may of noticed the website changed very quickly from HTML and CSS to PHP. Thanks to Word Press we now use a blog system to make updating the website very easy and allow people to comment on all aspects.

We also will be getting a domain name, its www.TeamCannonball.co.uk and it should be up and running fairly soon. Once the site is sorted I expect people to start being helpful!
